We invite you to participate in the open house and the course listed below. They
are open to all students interested in exploring the MIS major or minor. The open
house is open to parents and guardians as well. Detailed information will be emailed as it becomes available.

Open House at the Department of MIS, OM, & DSC
Please join us for some refreshments and
to learn more about majoring in MIS at one of our
Open Houses. The next one will be in the Spring 2010 semester (date &
time to be determined.)
You will also have an opportunity to talk to other students who have selected
MIS as a major, or who are trying to make that decision.

MIS 220 Exploring Careers in Information SystemsMIS 220 is a new one credit hour course that uses field trips to show you what an MIS professional does so you can evaluate your interest in an MIS major or minor.
The class will visit with MIS professionals in a different organization each week
to experience and discuss MIS career possibilities. You will also have a chance to get acquainted with your classmates and hosts, who will provide food.
This course is offered pass/fail on Monday evenings from January 11 through February
15 from 4:30-8:30 p.m. It is limited to 30 students.
